This is my new blog, created to hold my impressions and experiences during travel to the Kakamega Care Centre in Kenya. The journey will begin from Logan Airport on July 31, 2012 to London, then on to Nairobi, Kenya, to arrive in the evening Wednesday, August 1. After traveling with eight others from Maine and Vermont, we will leave Nairobi late on Monday, August 20 through London to arrive back at Logan 1:20 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2012.
I'm new to blogging and know that electrical power will not be consistent in Kenya, so be patient with me as I try to keep a good record.
My feelings right now, during the last few days of preparation, are a mixed jumble ranging from excitement to apprehension. How in the world did I decide to give up three weeks of my summer?!
